David Kristal

Chief Executive Officer

With over 20 years of experience developing and building businesses in the retail, marketing and sponsorship industries, David brings proven leadership, enthusiasm and a unique focus to the Augeo team as he helps drive accelerated growth and client program innovation.

David began his career at a boutique Twin Cities law firm, left the firm to create and run the business development function at a large, privately held transaction Management Company handling more than $500 million annually, and landed in his family restaurant business in 1998 to lead its turnaround. It was here where Augeo was born, with its first clients coming from the foodservice industry.

David earned his BS in Business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and his JD from Stanford Law School.

Juan Sabater

Co-Chairman of the Board and Principal

Juan joined Augeo in June 2006 as an investor and officer in the company. He supports and leads Augeo's development team in identifying and developing new client and strategic relationships, as well as in other administrative functions. He also serves as a Senior Adviser to Valor Equity Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago, and is on the Board of Directors of Uretek, a specialty Fabrics Company headquartered in New Haven, Connecticut.

Prior to joining the Augeo team, Juan worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Managing Director in the Firm's Investment Banking Division. As a part of the IBD team, he held several positions, including membership in the Division's private equity coverage group, the Division's senior management team, and as a coverage and execution banker for clients in Latin America.

Juan is on the Board of several organizations in New York City including The Frick Collection, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House and Repertorio Espanol. He sits on the Board of Visitors of Stanford Law School and on the Advisory Board of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. He was appointed by President George Bush to the President's Advisory Council on the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Performing Arts Center. Juan attended Princeton University, Mansfield College, Oxford, and Stanford Law School.

Bill Gamble

Chief Operating Officer

A Minnesota native, Bill has spent most of his professional career in Europe. While overseas, he served as a Marketing Director for two large European companies, and also owned and operated a software development and management consulting firm with offices in Minneapolis and Stockholm.

Directly prior to joining Augeo, Bill was the CIO and Strategic Projects Manager at Moeller Group GmbH, a major European plastics manufacture.

Robert J. Dow

President, PerksCard

Bob Dow is the Founder and President of PerksCard. Over the last 22+ years Bob has worked with over 1,000 major corporations, hospitals, universities and alumni associations creating programs designed to save people money on the things they use everyday.

In addition, Bob has built, run and managed outbound call centers, trained hundreds of sales professionals with the focus on the art of the “one call close”, and conducted educational seminars on saving money.

Bob earned a BA from SUNY Geneseo with a major in Political Science and a minor in English.

Amy Murphy

Vice President, Corporate Marketing and Business Development

Amy joined Augeo in 2001 to lead the company’s marketing efforts, and currently leads several strategic client relationships and business development initiatives.

With over 15 years in both B2B and B2C product and service marketing, Amy brings broad experience and creativity to Augeo’s branding, communications, products and programs. She is responsible for Augeo’s corporate communication and works with many cross-functional business and operational teams to develop and launch new loyalty products, discount programs, incentive platforms and insurance initiatives.

Prior to joining Augeo, Amy held senior marketing positions with Imation, a 3M spin-off, and Jostens. Amy holds a BS in Business from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Douglas Gahagan

Vice President, Development

Douglas is responsible for developing, structuring and enhancing the discount and coalition partner networks for Augeo's existing and targeted clients. Douglas played a strategic role in establishing Augeo Benefits and continues to assist with integrating its insurance products and services throughout Augeo Affinity Marketing's programs and divisions.

Prior to joining Augeo, Douglas worked for 9 years at American International Group (AIG) in the company's Environmental Division. Douglas has significant experience structuring complex deals and developing multi-million dollar risk-transfer solutions through underwriting analysis, contract development and policy negotiation. At AIG, Douglas worked closely with Fortune 100 corporations, national law firms, private equity firms, developers, divisions of state and federal government and REITs.

Douglas earned his Bachelor of Arts from Union College in Schenectady, NY.

Tim Miller

President, Augeo Benefits

Having 20+ years experience in sales and marketing, Tim has spent the last 10 years focusing on the healthcare and insurance marketplace. During this time, Tim developed and implemented direct response campaigns for 6 of the 10 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Additionally, he was responsible for the development and roll-out of successful telephonic sales and marketing programs for some of the largest senior HMO’s in the United States. It was these experiences and unique marketing perspectives that were vital to the formation and success of BenefitProtect (Now Augeo Benefits).

Prior to co-founding BenefitProtect, Tim was Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Kronos, The Optimal Health Company. In that position, Tim blended marketing strategies and innovative insurance offerings, which have resulted in a broad mix of successful insurance launches within Augeo’s insurance arm.

Tim is a graduate of James Madison University with a BS in Marketing/Management.

Erik Sorensen

Vice President, Augeo Loyalty

Erik, who is based in Chicago, joined the Augeo team in 2005 and currently leads the Augeo Loyalty business with a focus in B2B customer points and rewards programs. Erik and his team have successfully created and launched numerous loyalty programs for Augeo clients assisting them with overall program design, development and rollout strategy. Erik also works very closely with the Augeo Incent team to align customer loyalty with employee incentive programs for our clients. In addition to the Loyalty program management team, Erik also manages the Augeo field resources team.

Prior to joining Augeo, Erik was the Director of Regional Marketing for The Princeton Review, and was responsible for developing relationships with large educational institutions and corporations.

Erik earned his bachelor of arts from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations.

Danny Kristal

Vice President, Corporate Services

Danny leads Augeo in legal guidance and management, human resources, partner and vendor relationships and insurance coverages.

Prior to joining Augeo in 2005, Danny owned and operated a commercial general contracting company, Arkay Construction Company, for 8 years with average gross sales over $20 million per year.

Danny graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics before earning his J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law.

Jennifer Vanselow

Vice President, Finance

Jennifer began with Augeo’s sister company, Embers, 16 years ago, and has been with Augeo ever since its inception in 1998.

Throughout her years with both companies, Jennifer has worked in all areas of accounting, human resources and finance. Currently, Jennifer leads Augeo’s accounting team, as well as manages the company’s financials and cash flows.

Jennifer is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants. She holds a BS in Accounting from Augsburg College, and is a Certified Managerial Accountant.

Boris Kopilenko

Director, IT Operations

Boris is a senior technology professional with over 12 years of experience in application development, technical leadership, project management, and systems implementations.

Prior to joining Augeo, Boris worked for UnitedHealth Group in the OptumHealth Care Solutions business unit where he was Director of Business Reporting. There he ran an international team of resources charged with building a new clinical data mart for UnitedHealth Group.

Boris also worked for Target in the Point Of Sale development area where he ran development projects focusing on customer loyalty, cash office automation and integration with a new pharmacy system. Prior to Target, he worked for IBM Business Consulting Services managing development teams that were part of the implementation of JDEdwards. Boris’s team specialized in customizing JDEdwards and integrating it with other systems

Boris earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
